DOUBLE is Leon Art’s first commissioned production and it celebrates the spirit of playfulness, multilingualism and inter-cultural collaboration to create an awe-inspiring journey of discovery.

In a universe where the dualities of logic and imagination collide, audiences are taken on a curious and surreal ride through spaces large and small. Sharon B. Moore’s choreography plays with perspective, suspension and the beauty in the illogical, driven by a deep sense of curiosity. 

Using both English and Spanish text, video design, a gravity-defying set, and themes of love and exploration, performers Lilia Leon and Irma Villafuerte are co-conspirators, seeking answers and adventure alongside us.

This brand new dance theatre piece will delight your senses with a collage of revolving and infinite possibilities.

As we’re sure you all know, it is very costly to mount a full production while paying artists above a living wage, something which aligns with our values as an organization. Last week, we launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise $6000 towards the costs of the production since we currently have no support from funding bodies, and we are nearly halfway to our goal!
